One piece

The pouch and adhesive barrier form one unit. Check the opening specification and the pouch outlet and closure.

01 / CONNECTION & FIT

A measurement needs a meaning.

Barrier opening

The opening around the stoma. Confirm whether the model is cut-to-fit or pre-cut and review individual fit with an ostomy-care professional.

Pouch-to-barrier coupling

The connection used by a two-piece system. Verify the manufacturer, compatible range and both component references.

Outlet and closure

Drainable pouches have an outlet for emptying; closed pouches do not. Review the exact design and its handling instructions.

Accessories

A belt or accessory must be compatible with the stated system. Similar dimensions alone do not confirm a suitable combination.

02 / EVERYDAY PLANNING

Make the details easier to keep track of.

Keep a record of your system.

Record pouch, barrier and accessory item codes. Follow the care routine and replacement instructions agreed with your ostomy-care professional. Recurring leakage, irritation or changes in fit need individual assessment.

Count units before you reorder.

Check whether the sales unit is an individual item, pack or case. Confirm what is included and follow the stated storage and expiry information. For travel, plan supplies around your established routine.

Before you choose

Use the individual listing and manufacturer documentation together. A photograph helps identify a format, but cannot establish personal fit or compatibility.

Can components from different ranges be combined?

Only rely on a documented compatible combination. Similar appearance and nominal size are not enough.

Does “60mm” always describe the same feature?

No. An opening measurement and a coupling measurement describe different parts of the system.

What if an important specification is missing?

Request the instructions or specification sheet for the exact item. Confirm the details before purchasing.
