Check the documents for your destination market and the exact product configuration.
Start with the intended market
Tell the supplier where the product will be sold, the exact model and intended use, and who will import it. Ask for a document list specific to that product and destination.
Review the documents together
Compare the product specification, label, instructions, test reports and any quality-system certificates. Verify the issuer, scope, dates and manufacturing site. Ask the supplier to explain any differences between the quoted model and the model identified in the records.
Agree on the shipment file
Confirm who prepares the invoice, packing list and any other agreed documents. Have your importer or regulatory adviser review the file before shipment and keep it with the approved specification and lot records.
